Flexible Metal Hose Assemblies for Industrial Connections
Stainless Steel Corrugated Metal Hose Assemblies combine an annular corrugated 316L stainless steel core with an external stainless steel braid to provide a flexible metallic connection between piping and equipment.
The corrugated construction allows the hose to accommodate vibration, movement and thermal movement where a rigid connection may not be suitable, while the external braid reinforces the assembly for pressure service.
Annular Corrugated 316L Stainless Steel Core
The fluid path is formed by a 316L stainless steel annular corrugated core. Its corrugated construction provides the flexibility required for equipment connections and piping systems subject to movement or vibration.
Unlike PTFE-core braided hose, this construction provides an all-metal flexible fluid path.
Stainless Steel Braided Reinforcement
An external 304 or 316 stainless steel braid surrounds the corrugated core. The braid provides mechanical reinforcement and helps support pressure containment while allowing the hose assembly to remain flexible.
Working pressure depends on hose size and assembly configuration and should therefore be selected according to the actual operating conditions.
Configurable End Connections
Metal hose assemblies can be supplied with different end connections to match the mating piping or equipment interface.
Different connection styles may be specified at each end of the assembly, allowing the hose to connect between different equipment and piping interfaces without defining the hose solely by one connection type.
End-connection requirements should be specified together with hose size, assembly length and operating conditions when requesting a quotation.
Built to the Required Assembly Length
A flexible metal hose is selected as a complete assembly rather than by hose diameter alone. Hose length, end connections, operating pressure, temperature, movement and installation conditions all affect the required configuration.
For custom assemblies, provide the required overall length and connection details so the complete hose assembly can be reviewed for the application.
