Flexible PTFE Hose Assemblies with a Smooth Internal Bore
Smooth Bore Convoluted PTFE Braided Hose Assemblies combine a PTFE inner liner with stainless steel braided reinforcement for flexible fluid connections in industrial equipment and piping systems.
The PTFE liner features a smooth internal flow path with a convoluted outer profile. This construction combines the flow characteristics of a smooth bore with increased flexibility for installations where routing space, movement or vibration make a rigid connection impractical.
Smooth Inside, Convoluted Outside PTFE Liner
The inner tube is manufactured from PTFE with a smooth internal bore and a convoluted external profile.
The smooth internal surface provides an unobstructed fluid path, while the external convolutions allow the hose to bend more easily than a conventional rigid connection.
This construction is particularly useful where flexible routing is required within compact equipment or piping layouts.
Stainless Steel Braided Reinforcement
A 304 or 316 stainless steel braid surrounds the PTFE liner.
The external braid provides mechanical reinforcement and supports the hose assembly during pressure service while maintaining the flexibility required for equipment connections.
Working pressure depends on hose size and the complete assembly configuration and should therefore be selected according to the actual operating conditions.
