Overview
The TMB Series Male Branch Tee is a three-port pipe fitting designed to create a 90° branch from a threaded fluid line.
The two opposing run ports are female threaded connections, while the perpendicular branch port is male threaded. This configuration allows a male branch connection to be introduced between two female-threaded run connections in instrumentation, process piping and industrial fluid systems.
NPT is the primary thread configuration. Selected ISO/BSP tapered-thread versions are also available.

Working-pressure ratings shown above apply to the listed 316 stainless steel configurations. The allowable working pressure of a complete system is limited by its lowest-rated component and applicable operating conditions.
Thread Configurations

For this tee configuration, the two opposing ports form the female run, while the perpendicular connection forms the male branch.
Branch vs. Run Configuration
The terms branch and run describe the location of the tee connections and are important when selecting the correct fitting.
On the TMB Series Male Branch Tee:
- The two aligned ports form the run and are female threaded.
- The perpendicular 90° port forms the branch and is male threaded.
A Male Branch Tee should therefore not be treated as interchangeable with a Male Run Tee or other mixed-thread tee configuration.
Thread & Sealing Considerations
NPT is a tapered pipe thread. Sealing is developed through thread engagement together with a thread-sealing method appropriate for the fluid, temperature and operating conditions.
ISO/BSP tapered threads also use tapered-thread engagement but should not be assumed interchangeable with NPT. Thread form, pitch and dimensional standard must match the mating connection.
The thread standard and size of all three ports should be verified before ordering or installation.

TMB Series Male Branch Tees are manufactured from 316 stainless steel forgings to ASTM A182.
Forged construction is appropriate for the shaped tee body and provides a robust body configuration for instrumentation, process and industrial fluid applications.
