Instrumentation Quick Connect Body
The Instrumentation Quick Connect Body is the socket side of a quick-connect coupling used for fast connection and disconnection of instrumentation and industrial fluid lines.
Available in QC4, QC6 and QC8 body sizes, the body incorporates an internal shutoff valve that closes when the mating stem is disconnected. Multiple tube-fitting and threaded end connections are available for integration into different fluid-system layouts.

Shutoff Operation
The valved body automatically closes its flow path when the mating stem is disconnected.
When a compatible stem is inserted, the coupling opens according to the selected body-and-stem configuration. This allows fluid lines to be connected and disconnected quickly during normal coupling operation.
Pressure & Operating Considerations
Maximum working pressure is up to 3000 psig / 207 bar, depending on body size, mating stem, end connection, seal material, temperature and service conditions.
Coupled, uncoupled and coupling or uncoupling pressure limits may differ. The allowable operating pressure should therefore be confirmed for the exact body-and-stem combination and operating condition.
Temperature capability and fluid compatibility also depend on the selected seal material and service conditions.
Connection & Compatibility
The quick-connect body must be matched with a compatible stem of the appropriate coupling size and configuration.
QC4, QC6 and QC8 identify different quick-connect body sizes and should not be treated simply as thread sizes. Coupling size, end-connection type, connection size and shutoff configuration should all be confirmed when selecting new or replacement components.
Quick-connect components from different series or manufacturers should not be assumed to be interchangeable based only on nominal size or external appearance.
