Stainless Steel Double Ferrule Angle Instrument Ball Valve
The Stainless Steel Double Ferrule Angle Instrument Ball Valve is an OIB Series one-piece valve designed for manual on/off isolation in instrumentation and fluid-control systems.
Its 90-degree angle configuration uses double-ferrule tube connections and provides a compact solution where the tubing direction changes through the valve.
Key Features
- Stainless steel construction
- OIB one-piece instrumentation ball valve design
- Double-ferrule tube connections
- 2-way, 90-degree angle configuration
- Fractional tube sizes from 1/8 in. to 3/4 in.
- Metric tube sizes from 3 mm to 18 mm
- Maximum working pressure up to 3000 psig (207 bar)
- Working temperature from -65°F to 300°F (-54°C to 148°C)
- Manual quarter-turn operation
OIB Angle Pattern Design
The OIB Series angle-pattern configuration changes the flow direction by 90 degrees while providing manual on/off isolation.
This configuration can simplify tubing layouts where two connected tube runs meet at a right angle, reducing the need to route the tubing around a separate straight-pattern valve.
Double-Ferrule Tube Connections
The angle-pattern valve is available with double-ferrule tube connections for fractional tubing from 1/8 in. to 3/4 in. and metric tubing from 3 mm to 18 mm.
Available orifice sizes and flow coefficients vary with the selected tube size. The required tube outside diameter and operating conditions should therefore be specified when selecting the valve.
Pressure and Temperature
Maximum working pressure is up to 3000 psig (207 bar), with a working temperature range from -65°F to 300°F (-54°C to 148°C).
Applicable working pressure depends on the selected valve configuration, orifice size, tube size, tubing specification, operating temperature, and service conditions. Final valve selection should be based on the actual system requirements.
Typical Applications
OIB angle-pattern ball valves are suitable for manual on/off isolation in instrumentation and fluid-control systems where the tubing direction changes through the valve, including process instrumentation, test systems, sampling systems, and equipment fluid lines.
Application suitability should be confirmed according to operating pressure, temperature, process fluid, tube size, tubing specification, and material compatibility.
Selecting the Right Configuration
When specifying a double-ferrule OIB angle ball valve, provide the required tube outside diameter together with operating pressure, temperature, process fluid, tubing material, and quantity.
For applications requiring a straight-pattern or multi-port configuration, provide the required connection and flow-path arrangement so the appropriate OIB configuration can be confirmed.
Send us your required tube size, operating pressure, temperature, process fluid, tubing material, and quantity. Our team will review the application and help confirm a suitable OIB angle-pattern ball valve configuration.
