Materials of Construction

The standard configuration uses a 316 stainless steel valve body, with stainless steel internal components and packing selected according to the required service conditions.
For applications requiring specific material compatibility, documentation, or traceability requirements, provide the process media, operating temperature, working pressure, and project requirements before ordering.

Pressure & Temperature Considerations

BN Series configurations are available with maximum working pressures up to 3,000 psig (207 bar), while BNH Series configurations are available up to 5,000 psig (345 bar).
These values represent maximum pressure ratings for applicable configurations and should not be treated as constant working pressures across the complete temperature range.
Allowable working pressure depends on the selected series, connection size, packing, valve configuration, and operating temperature.
PTFE and PEEK packing provide different temperature capabilities. Packing selection should therefore be based on the complete combination of operating pressure, temperature, process media, and valve configuration.
For applications approaching the maximum pressure or temperature limits, confirm the required operating conditions before ordering.

Typical Applications

  • Instrumentation and process-control systems
  • Pressure and flow-isolation lines
  • Analyzer and sampling systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits
  • Test and calibration equipment
  • Chemical and process-fluid systems
  • Industrial gas and liquid-handling systems
  • Instrument panels and compact fluid-control assemblies
Final valve selection should be based on pressure, temperature, process media, flow requirements, connection type, and compatibility with the surrounding system.

Selection & Ordering

For correct valve selection, specify:
  1. BN or BNH pressure series
  1. Required inlet and outlet connection type
  1. Connection or tube size
  1. Straight, angle, or 3-way configuration
  1. Stem type
  1. PTFE or PEEK packing
  1. Operating pressure and temperature
  1. Process media
  1. Required quantity
  1. Testing, documentation, drawing, or BOM requirements where applicable
For replacement projects, send the existing valve part number, connection details, or drawing so the required configuration can be reviewed before quotation.
